The 4th Annual Cranksgiving Cedar Rapids is ROLLING OUT and we couldn’t be more stoked to fill our neighborhood food pantry with you all again!

The circumstances are much different for everyone this year and while we’re passionate about helping this invaluable resource we’re ALSO devoted to keeping our community safe.

Cranksgiving Cedar Rapids is a food drive by bicycle benefitting our neighborhood Loaves & Fishes Food Pantry. This year has undeniably been a year of unique challenges for our local and global community. As many friends and neighbors are experiencing loss due to Derecho and the recession, Loaves & Fishes Mission House has continued to help make ends meet for these families.

As much as we would love to come together to share the Cranksgiving experience, 2020 is not the year for a big party. It is just not in the community’s interest to gather for our traditional mass start or post-ride party.

This year’s ride will happen on your own terms, at your convenience, and as a solo-mission or with your closest ‘quaranteam’. We’ve put together a ‘manifest’ of the pantry’s most needed non-perishable food items and designated a specific grocery store pit-stop to purchase each from. Goldfinch Cyclery will be the designated drop off now through December 15th. You can pick up a manifest from our shop or reach out to us and we’ll email it to you. Don’t forget your masks!
