The Downshift Cycling Teams are hosting this year's Cranksgiving. Cranksgiving is a national food drive on two wheels. Part bike ride, part food drive, and part scavenger hunt. All you need is a bike, a bag, and a lock! Registration will run 12:30-1:00pm at Downshift How does this work? You’ll register as an individual or as part of a team of TWO, THREE, or FOUR. The food drive is set up as an “alley cat” throughout the city with checkpoints at a variety of grocery stores and markets. At these checkpoints you’ll have to purchase items off the grocery list which will then be donated to our charities. You’ll earn points based on items purchased and checkpoints reached (specific rules will be explained at registration). Our sponsors have donated prize items that YOU and/or your TEAM can win! The food drive will occur between 1:00-3:00pm throughout the City of Roanoke.
